Here is a nifty and mysterious thrift store find – a Japanese melamine bowl-thing that screws apart into two pieces. I have used my very best Google-fu and been unable to come up with the original purpose for this odd little vessel. I may not know what it is actually supposed to be but I do know that it makes a very near to perfect yarn bowl.
It is a sunny and soggy day and while we wait for the ground to warm I shall spend the day sitting in the sunny Greenhouse and making neat little crocheted vegetables. Grateful for this odd little bowl that keeps my balls of yarn neatly in place. Happy day.
If you happen to know the real purpose for this nifty little object I would be much obliged to you for your mystery-solving abilities.
