Time to start all over again…
We have pulled out the humongous stash of seeds and begun the onerous task of figuring out what will be planted next season. It is the time to take stock of our hits and our misses. We need to decide what core varieties will be essential for the coming Spring and what wild and crazy varieties that we will choose just to bring in the Big and Fabulous Fun!
It is a new experience to be able to scan through hundreds of pics of the last few growing years. Yeah for external memory…
Gorgeous Bee Balm….definitely growing more of this next year. This Flamingo Swiss Chard is a proven winner. Seriously unreasonable colour that has held up really well all season and continues to produce all the way into the chill of early Winter.Sundrops is related to Evening Primrose and is our most requested perennial plant. Must pot up many of these for our itty-bitty plant nursery.Lovely purple Kohlrabi was a big hit all Summer and we must grow ever so much more of them next year!So many Kales to try – so little time. This one is Lacinato and it is the plant of the year as far as comments and attention go – bar none. Everyone asks “What is that odd fountain shaped plant?”. Pretty Neato.Pretty sunny Chives…we discovered a pickled Chives idea and honestly cannot wait till Spring to give it a whirl. Pickled Chives – a charming bottle of pickled flowers floating in fabulous purple and onion scented vinegar! This sounds amazing!
Now on to the real work of choosing our contenders for the next season of Tomato and Pepper cultivars….decisions, so very many decisions…Eep!
