Play-scaping

Our lovely new Children’s Garden is still mostly in the planning and gathering stage and that means an unreasonable amount of time is spent in the somewhat less than productive pastime of “research”.

We are searching through inspirational photos of other Gardens and sorting through the ideas to create something really wonderful.

There is an industrious amount of woodworking going on to create the tables, benches and sink-isn areas but the daydreaming is a nice excuse to take a virtual stroll in all kinds of online Gardens (at least while it continues to snow).

There are so many styles of play-scaping and it is actually quite delightful to see other Gardens that have natural areas that are made just for little people to play.

Flowers to pick and herbs to taste and even the wildness of frogs, snakes and ladybugs. Big Fun!
